Don Veltum is the founder, owner, and operator of Lean Logic Industries. He is responsible for all aspects of the business.

Don is an experienced welder, fabricator and manufacturing leader. Don’s manufacturing experience is in engineered components primarily in Aerospace, both OEM and aftermarket repair and overhaul, he has experience in both the mechanical and avionics business segments of commercial airline and cargo carriers.

Don has worked at every level of a factory from a welder fabricator on the shop floor up to an independent plant manager for a large Fortune 500 company. During this time Don became student and practitioner of lean manufacturing. While working as a materials manager he truly learned the importance of partnering with high quality vendors to eliminate waste and ultimately reduce cost while meeting his customer’s requirements. 

During his time leading a factory Don directly interfaced with demanding customer and his most important lesson learned was as vendor you must perform and meet the customer’s expectation without exception; excuses and poor performance any capacity is not acceptable. 

Don has been working as a fabricator and operations analyst for a custom manufacturer in Southern Oregon since 2021.

Don and his family relocated to the Rogue Valley from Tulsa Oklahoma to live close to family after the factory he was running was offshored. Don is passionate about American manufacturing, the trades and growing American communities. The offshoring of a thriving factory and Don’s passion for American manufacturing led him to build a services-based welding, fabrication, and manufacturing company.

Don is married with two children and resides in Sam’s Valley. He earned a BSBA in Transportation and Logistics Management from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He also attended both Tulsa Tech and Rogue Community College’s welding programs, and had remained active and proficient in the welding trade for the last 10 years. Directly following college Don served for six years as an active-duty Army Transportation Officer deploying multiple times to Iraq supporting the Global War on Terror.
